EXIsT è un progetto elaborato da Silvia Bennett, Michele Giunta e Caterina Simonelli.

Il lavoro prende ispirazione dalla teoria delle finestre rotte di Philip Zimbardo: una teoria sociologica secondo cui, investendo le risorse umane e finanziarie nella cura dell’esistente e nel rispetto della civile convivenza, si ottengono risultati migliori rispetto all’uso di misure repressive.
Immaginiamo che l’umanità abbia completamente ignorato questa teoria, per anni…

In questo spettacolo la musica crea ambienti sonori suggestivi, che portano l’immaginazione del pubblico in cunicoli oscuri, dove si anima la vita di una collettività sotterranea. Attraverso la danza l’interprete vive questi spazi portando il pubblico con sé, in una realtà estrema, spiazzante e psicotica.

EXIsT is a dance performance by Silvia Bennett with Michele Giunta and Caterina Simonelli.

This work takes inspiration from the Broken windows theory by Philip Zibardo. The theory states that maintaining and monitoring urban environments to prevent small crimes such as vandalism, helps to create an atmosphere of order and lawfulness, there by preventing more serious crimes from happening.

Imagine that we completely ignore this theory..

In this performance the music creates suggestive soundscapes, that bring the audience’s imagination into obscure tunnels, where we discover an underground society. Through the dance the performer lives these spaces bringing the audience with her, into a journey of an extreme, unsettling and psychotic reality.
